Small things, kept close at night.

Little charms printed layer by layer on a desk in Manila, then sanded, and sometimes painted, by hand. Made to order, a few at a time.

Four kinds of charm

Each one is printed after it is ordered, then sanded smooth at the kitchen table. Nothing waits in a warehouse.

A noctuary is a record of the night.

The name came first. Most of the printing happens in the evening, when the house is quiet and the printer hums away under the desk lamp. A moon takes about forty minutes. A row of seven takes most of a night.

They are small and light and made to be kept.
